Why this score at ABC Meubles?
We have always designed sustainable furniture: well thought-out, well manufactured and designed to last. To go even further, we have chosen to entrust the environmental and social assessment of our furniture to Eco Impact, an independent organisation. This score guarantees :
- - Transparency: by providing you with reliable data so that you can make an informed choice
- - Continuous improvement: with each score, we can see where we could do better
- - Sincerity of our eco-responsible approach: by integrating an external assessment and thus combating rhetoric without action and greenwashing.
What is the Eco Impact Score?
It's a grade from A to E, awarded using a Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and demanding social criteria. It measures the impact :
- - Environmental: materials, production, transport, end of life
- - Social: manufacturing conditions
- - Health: emissions of harmful substances
- - Durability: reparability, longevity
The higher the letter (A, B), the better the impact. This score makes it easy to compare products transparently.
Where can you find it on our website?
Not all our products have yet passed under the watchful eye of the organisation. For those that have been assessed, you can find the score explained in detail on each product sheet, via a popup that opens when you click on the small "i" next to the score obtained.

What are our current results?
To date, around twenty products have been assessed and awarded A or B grades, proving the performance of our approach.
Below, you can see the percentage reduction in impact for a selection of products that have been screened, compared with a median product from a panel representative of the product category.
