What's the point of a trundle bed?
A trundle bed is a real space-saver. If your room is too small to accommodate a double bed or 2 single beds on a daily basis, a trundle bed is the perfect solution. Made up of two slatted bases, one under the other, you simply pull out and raise the second slatted base to form a double bed or two single beds.
Placed in a living room, this extra bed can also be used on a day-to-day basis as a bench that simply needs to be unfolded when you have guests.
Why choose my trundle bed from ABC Meubles?
The trundle beds in our space-saving range are very easy to unfold and can be adjusted to suit your needs. You are free to create a double bed (except the Maxi model) or two separate beds to suit your guests. Note that to create a double bed with the sleeping berths at the same height, you need to use the same height for both mattresses.
Made from solid Landes pine from controlled-management forests, our trundle beds are sturdy and their design goes with all interior styles. What's more, our beds can be customised to suit your needs: there are 6 finishes to choose from, made with a water-based varnish that contains no solvents or VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds), to reduce harmful emissions and protect your health and the environment.
Thanks to their sturdiness, our trundle beds can accommodate a weight of up to 120kg for each bed.

How do I choose my trundle bed?
If you prefer a trundle bed that forms a double bed, you can choose our Malo, Topaze, ABC or Happy trundle beds. If you need extra storage space and don't necessarily want 2 beds at the same height (to form a double bed), you can opt for our Maxi, with its large storage drawers.
If you want a trundle bed that doubles up as a bench seat with armrests when folded, choose our Topaze model.
In terms of dimensions, you can choose between 80x190, 90x190 and 90x200.
Which mattress should I choose for my trundle bed?
All mattresses are compatible with our trundle beds. However, in order to be able to fold the base underneath without any problems, the mattress on this base must be no more than 16cm high.
Choose our Marly mattress, a mattress with a tonic welcome and firm support that will give you comfort and support for peaceful, restorative nights.
What will the slatted base look like on delivery?
On delivery, you will receive a preassembled mesh base (for the lower sleeping area) and a wooden base, to be assembled by you, for the upper sleeping area.
Please note that this does not apply to the Maxi model, which has 2 wooden slatted bases for you to assemble yourself (no preassembled metal slatted base).
Do you offer spare parts if necessary?
Yes, as manufacturers, we make it a point of honour to guarantee the durability of our furniture. That's why we offer the possibility of ordering spare parts at any time, even after several years of use. Our aim is to encourage repair rather than replacement, in order to extend the life of your product while respecting the environment.

To choose a trundle bed that's perfectly suited to your needs and desires, you need to take a number of criteria into account.
First of all, you need to assess the size of the room in which you want to place your solid wood bed. Even in a small bedroom, you need to be able to pull out the drawer of the trundle bed easily to create two sleeping areas. Our trundle beds are available in a range of widths, so all you have to do is choose the right size to suit your space constraints.
You can also choose your solid wood trundle bed according to the purpose of your room: children's bedroom, living room or TV room. Our trundle beds can be used as an extra bed or as a bench: it's up to you to choose the bed that best suits your needs.
ABC Meubles trundle beds are designed for both adults and children. However, you can opt for a trundle bed which, when unfolded, creates a 180 x 180 cm sleeping area: the perfect solution for a couple of friends to spend a weekend together!
Note: some trundle bed models can be used in conjunction with the loft beds that we also offer in our bedding range.
